UK promises more missiles, long-range attack drones for Ukraine
The United Kingdom has promised Ukraine further arms for its fight against Russia, as President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made a surprise stop to meet with his British counterpart. Zelenskyy landed by helicopter on Monday at Chequers Court, the British leader's official country retreat, where he was greeted by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak with a handshake and a hug. Sunak's office said that Britain was set to confirm it was giving Ukraine hundreds more air defence missiles, as well as "long-range attack drones" with a range of more than 200km (124 miles). Zelenskyy, on his second trip to the UK since Russia invaded his country in February 2022, thanked his staunch ally and said the war was a matter of "security not only for Ukraine, it is important for all of Europe." Sunak told Zelenskyy that "your leadership, your country's bravery and fortitude are an inspiration to us all".

US to provide Ukraine with M982 Excalibur munitions as part of Biden admin's new $775M weapons package: report
Republican Rep. Greg Steube weighs in on the U.S.'s announcement for an additional $775 million in new Ukraine military aid, along with the impact of illegal immigration on Florida's coastal border. The U.S. reportedly is set to provide Ukraine with M982 Excalibur munitions. "These precision-guided munitions will aid Ukraine's counter-offensive against Russia, which is focused on targeting ammunition depots and military installations," foreign relations expert, Samuel Ramani, tweeted. "Scan Eagle surveillance drones, which the U.S. also provides, will amplify their impact." The Ukrainian outlet appeared to draw from reporting by Politico, tweeting: "A source close to the deliberations of the latest military aid package shared with Politico that the M982 Excalibur rounds, traveling up to 70km, will be sent to Ukraine'at some point in the future.'"

What weapons has Ukraine received from the US and allies?
Defence ministers from NATO countries and other parts of the world will convene to discuss weapons deliveries to Ukraine on Wednesday. The meeting comes as Kyiv seeks a significant increase in arms to fight off Russian forces. Ahead of the talks, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said allies would continue to deliver heavy weapons and long-range systems to Ukraine. Since the Russian invasion on February 24, Ukraine has received billions of dollars' worth of weapons and military equipment from at least 28 countries. Twenty-five of the 28 nations providing military assistance to Ukraine are NATO members, including the US and UK, which are supplying Kyiv with sophisticated weapons such as multiple rocket launch systems (MLRS). Despite its growing arsenal, Ukraine, which has an active military personnel of just 200,000, is significantly outgunned by Russian forces.
